Reputation
iCandy
A British brand, iCandy’s long history is known for blending style with function. While convertible prams (allowing parents to seamlessly switch between single and double positions as their family grows) are popular across a range of prams today, iCandy holds the distinction of being the first brand to bring them to life! In addition to convertible prams, they also have compact solutions for city-living. iCandy offers a 3-in-1 travel system, and although they don’t have their own capsule in Australia, their prams are compatible with a range of well-known capsules.
Cybex
A premium German brand, Cybex may be a newer entrant to the Australian market, but they are quickly winning Aussie parents over with their reputation as a leader in safety across prams and capsules. Firmly establishing themselves as an innovative lifestyle and fashion brand, Cybex has found the perfect balance between form and function, with their innovative engineering matched only by their high-end aesthetic. Cybex offers products in their Platinum and Gold tiers, with the Platinum range offering the epitome of both luxury and function, while Gold prioritises everyday functionality. Cybex offers a wide range of prams from singles, to convertible doubles, compact travel strollers, and even specialised sport strollers. The brand is also known for their 4-in-1 travel system, which integrates the Cybex Cloud Q capsule with most of their prams.
Style
In the same way it’s natural to care about the ‘curb appeal’ when purchasing a new car, style is an important element of a pram. After all, it’s an investment and will be your constant companion for the next few years. Compare the profiles, handlebars, materials and little details below. What catches your eye? What can you picture yourself walking around the park or sitting at your favourite café with?
We always recommend you check them out in store if possible so that you can touch them and see how they feel to push, or even watch some videos online to get a proper feel for them. With premium prams, the level quality and craftsmanship is undeniable when you see them in person for the first time.

So which pram should you choose?
It’s simple: at the end of the day, the best pram is the one that best suits your lifestyle and anticipated needs!
If you require a convertible pram, the iCandy Peach 7 and Cybex Gazelle S would be the best fit, as the Cybex Priam 2022 is single only. However, if you have twins, the Cybex Gazelle S comes out on top, as both seats can be used up to 22kg, in comparison to the iCandy Peach’s 15kg.
For some, the fact that the iCandy Peach 7 has the longest warranty will be an important deciding factor, for others, it’s budget, where the Cybex Gazelle S shines as the most affordable of the three. If storage is a concern, the Cybex Gazelle S is hands-down the strongest candidate, (with or without the additional 10kg capacity shopping basket that you can clip on and off as needed).
Style is another consideration; if you are after a high-end feel with all the premium finishes, look no further than the Cybex Priam 2022 and its iconic Rose Gold frame, sure to elicit ‘oooh’s and ‘ahhh’s whenever you walk into a room. Balancing luxury with performance, it also features an innovative one-hand, one-pull harness, as well as highchair functionality due to its seat height, making your day-to-day that much easier.
In addition to the universal Black, both the Cybex Priam 2022 and Gazelle S have Gray and Navy fabric options, while the iCandy Peach 7 has unique Truffle and Olive Green fabrics to choose from.
Ultimately, it all comes down to what’s most important for your family. These are three of the best prams available on the market, so you really can’t go wrong. Happy walking!
